About
We understand that nobody wants to be in a position where they need a lawyer. Life's problems can be stressful enough without the worry of wondering whether your lawyer is competent, acting in your best interests and good value. We aim for diligence, understanding and honesty when representing clients in their legal matters.
In our criminal law practice we provide thorough, professional services for people facing criminal charges of all kinds from summary matters to major indictable offenses. If going to court cannot be avoided, we either represent you ourselves or we have a small team of trusted barristers with whom we have worked with for a number of years and who understand our firm's ethos and the importance we place on client care.
Our fees are structured to suit the particular matter. We will discuss them with you to ensure there are no surprises. Where we can, we will charge you a fixed fee for each stage of work. That way you know what you are paying and you can be confident that we are available to you should you have a question without worrying about how much that additional phone call will cost you.
We welcome clients who are entitled to a grant of legal aid. We will discuss with you whether you are entitled to legal aid and make an application on your behalf.

Allon Reeves
Allon began working as a legal practitioner with the Legal Services Commission as a duty solicitor for criminal matters in suburban and Adelaide Magistrates Courts. After working as an employed practitioner for private firms he began A K Reeves and Associates. As principal of A K Reeves, Allon has conduct of criminal files in the Youth Court, Magistrates, Districts and Supreme Courts. His experience in the criminal court system has prepared him for strong and effective advocacy in applying for bail, submissions on guilty pleas or defending the matter at trial. Allon has acted for many clients who have had a defence under mental impairment (269 defence under Criminal Consolidation Act 1935) and understands the complexities of the legislation.
Allon effectively advocates for clients in the Industrial Court (now the South Australian Employment Tribunal) for matters of unfair dismissal and wage claims. He also advises on contract law, leasing for small businesses, franchises and advises clients on the legal implications of acting as guarantor for family members or friends. Allon also appears on SACAT matters.
Before becoming a legal practitioner Allon worked as a cabinet maker and was involved in the union movement as an organiser and industrial officer. He has always carried with him the importance of access to clear and concise legal advice and the importance of understanding legal rights and responsibilities and effective legal representation.
